Halton County Council Approves Road Grants and Committee Changes

Halton County Council met in Milton to approve spending on the sixth line from Station Road to the town cemetery and Kerr Street north of Rebecca Street with a 50 percent government grant. It also decides next year the good roads committee will have three county council members. there are currently five. An appeal by Trafalgar against equalization of assessment was withdrawn for this year as Reeve Morden outlined a plan for a three independent-person committee. assessment in such cases stands for five years. The action expected to proceed early next year with hopes for a permanent agreement.
