Notice of public auction by the city of Olympia to collect remaining delinquent and special assessments for graveling Tenth Street from Columbia to Jefferson. Names of property owners and amounts due are listed, with sale set for January 8, 1882, at 11 a.m. at the city hall front door in Olympia.
A Pleasant Remembrance party honored Samuel G Kaufman on his birthday with guests including T F Kelly W E Smith W Ward D Williams and many others. Olympia plans a free delivery system starting January 1 with numbered houses, new post boxes, and three carriers plus a substitute. Milroy and Inspector Flint organized three districts, with bonds for carriers and extra boxes to be added as routes are learned.
Dr A S Oliver and Miss Mira Simmons married this afternoon at the bride’s Sixth Street home near Main.
