By warrant to collect delinquent and special assessments for graveling Tenth Street from Columbia to Jefferson, the city of Olympia will auction the unpaid lands on January 8, 1882 at 11:00 a.m. at the city hall front door. Listing includes A. O. Damon, Sylvester’s addition properties, Percival, Reed, Stewart, Patton, Hayden, and others with amounts, penalties, and interest due as of sale. City Attorney A. P. Fitch notes witness date December 2, 1891 with first publication December 5, 1891.

New York December 5. Examination of the mangled remains from Russell Sage's office uncovered a seven chamber revolver and a severed head identified as that of H D Wilson. The blast killed Wilson and Sage's secretary B F Norton. Sage plans to resume business Monday as investigators pursue leads.

County Treasurer C. B. Mann has moved to the Reed block opposite the county auditor’s offices and begins collecting taxes due December 1.
