Brothers to Hold Revival Meeting at Cross Mill Church

Rev. J. N. Snow and his brother Rev. E. E. Snow will lead a revival at Cross Mill Methodist Church starting May 4. The siblings, both Methodist ministers, have not preached together before. J. N. Snow, elder brother, has recently served in North Dakota with the N. D. Conference after leaving Mt. Airy, North Carolina.

Still Destructions Reported By Deputies Tate and Greene

Deputies C L Tate and Taylor Greene destroyed several blockade stills over two months. On April 11 near Old Fort a 55 gallon oil burner galvanized still was destroyed. On April 17 a 55 gallon steam still on the Catawba River and 600 gallons of beer were destroyed. On April 19 a still near Long Branch was removed, the third at that site. On March 14 Tate and Greene aided by Banks and Lance destroyed a copper still on Curtis Creek.

Domestic Science Class Hears First Aid Talk

Miss Lenore R. Keatley spoke to Miss Bula Kanipe’s Domestic Science class at Old Fort High School Monday. The talk covered treatment for fainting nosebleed shocks and fractures with a demonstration of artificial respiration and tourniquet application.

Minstrel to Be Presented at Old Fort School

Entertaining minstrel show to be presented at Old Fort School with a well chosen cast including several teachers. The event promises great hilarity and a small admission fee for a gay time with plenty of fun and laughs.
