Johnson, 38, also known as Joe Russo and Wayne Lee, faces robbery charges in seven states and a federal indictment for conspiracy. Detectives say he operated a stolen car ring, stealing more than 50 cars from northern states and selling them via Omaha channels. Lawrence Brewer a 37 year old farmer drowned Wednesday night after falling into the Salt Fork river north of Alva while fishing. Buenos Aires May 12 Foreign office sources said James Bruce will return to Buenos Aires soon for a farewell visit to President Juan Peron. He left in February for Washington to handle U S Argentine trade issues. Officials say he might be named ambassador in London, though embassy sources deny knowledge of the report.

W P Sanders 53 of Walters a highway department crane operator was seriously burned in both hands feet and thighs by a short circuit while operating an auto crane north of Lawton near the U S 62 277 intersection. He was taken to a Lawton hospital in serious condition.
In New Orleans on May 12, a French bride named Mrs. George E. Higgins pleads for word of her husband George Higgins who vanished after writing he faced tuberculosis death. The nine month married pair wed in Marseilles and she seeks his whereabouts with the police missing persons bureau help.
Keller Motors Corp of Huntsville Alabama asked the Securities and Exchange Commission for permission to float a five million share common stock issue at one dollar per share to launch a Keller automobile in the lowest price field. The prospectus envisions a medium four cylinder line from 895 to 1245 dollars at the factory. George D Keller, former Studebaker vice president, is board chairman.
In Philadelphia on May 12 two men knocked, entered Matt Haas’s apartment while he watched television, bound and gagged him, then escaped with jewelry valued at ten thousand dollars. Haas, 61, remained fixated on the TV during the early moments of the intrusion.
Oklahoma's public welfare department reported May pension payments set an all time high with old age assistance totaling 5,199,019 to 99,964 people. A proposed bill in conference would add about 35,000 to rolls and reduce maximum pensions from 58 to around 40 dollars.

J D Compton age 23 of Anadarko was killed when his light aircraft crashed while spraying a wheat field near Frederick Oklahoma. He reportedly turned too steeply and plowed into the ground. He was employed as a crop-duster for Americas Dag.
