Seven Injured In City Crash Of Bus And Truck
Seven passengers received minor injuries early Saturday when an Oklahoma Railway Co bus collided with a trailer truck in the 1400 block Exchange, then careened into a telephone pole. A pedestrian was seriously injured Friday night near California and Walker when struck by a speeding car. The truck driver, Harry Lee Greenlees of Wichita Falls, said he was backing across the intersection toward a loading dock and did not see the bus. Witnesses said the car ran a red light at high speed just before the collision, injuring Benton M. Scott who had a pelvic fracture and shattered hip. Police charged Joe David Havens with excessive speed and related offenses. Victims treated at Mercy hospital were released with bruises.
