A nonscheduled C-46 airliner carrying 22 persons crashed into a 12 room apartment building near Boeingfield shortly after takeoff for Chicago. Six were killed, thirty three injured, and several adjacent structures damaged. Pilot Merle Edgerton and crew were hurt. eight hours later coroner Brill saw no more bodies likely.

Stephens County Man Dies After Two Car Crash
Charles M. O'Dor, 60, of Alma in Stephens county, died from a broken neck after a Tuesday two car collision on SH 76 a mile north of Fox. The truck struck broadside another vehicle driven by a Carter county oilfield pumper. Baker Jr., 20, Healdton, drove the truck and was uninjured. He died en route to a Duncan hospital, trooper Roy Clinton said. The truck was driven by William L. Baker Jr.
