Lineman Burned When Wire Slips in McAlester
Ben Branum a 19 year old Pioneer Telephone employee was burned in twenty places when a wire he was stretching slipped from blocks and fell across a trolley power line in McAlester Oklahoma. The burns came from contact with telepane lines atop a pole and one finger was nearly destroyed. A fellow worker climbed to a street car roof and cut the wire.
