Batted Baseball Kills 5 Year Old Vinita Boy
A 5-year-old boy, Tony Allen Cook, died after being struck by a batted ball during a Craig County baseball practice at Four Corners, ten miles north of Vinita. He died at a Vinita hospital from a heart wound. He was the son of John and (unnamed) Cook, who run a Four Corners grocery. Survived by two brothers and a sister. Services set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Timber Hill Church of Christ. Burial in Claremore cemetery.
