Perry Boy Drowns While Wading in Pool
Six year old Ross Tubbs son of Wilburn Tubbs farmer drowned in a pond three miles west of here Thursday night. Relatives sought the father who had left Thursday to work with a harvest crew in the Kansas wheat fields. Witnesses said the boy was wading when he stepped into a hole and sank from sight. Several other boys about the same age were nearby.

Seven Injured In Texas Gas Truck Blast
Seven people were injured, four seriously, when a 4,000 gallon bottled gas truck exploded at the Warren natural gasoline plant near Hawkins in Wood county Texas. A fire raged for hours after the blast, rocking nearby buildings two and a half miles away. The truck was being loaded when the blaze started followed by the explosion.

$7,500 Load of Liquor Seized Near Norman
