Berlin protests erupt as Ebert government tightens grip with Noske directing rail and troops. Fighting rages through Tuesday night into Wednesday across several districts, casualties rise, and a state of siege is imposed as authorities seek to quell Spartacan forces amid a broad political crisis in Germany.
John Anderson of Snyder, president of the Oklahoma Press association, opened the midwinter state conference at the Lee Huckins hotel. An open discussion of needed legislation followed, then J. L. Newlan of the Frederick Leader spoke on The Country Newspaper and the War. The day ends with an 8 p.m. smoker at the hotel.
