Hobart trades and industrial carpentry students will open a second student built house. The 12 member class spent 3,650 hours on the $5,600 project including lot, plumbing, wiring and papering. FHA appraised at 7,350 and profits from the first sale funded the next five room home with cedar closets, ample cabinetry, a foldable breakfast table, and space saving features.

First Indian Territory White Child Is Dead

Wesley Bear a 24 year old Okmulgee Indian was struck by a Greyhound bus four miles west of Henryetta on U S 62 and became Oklahoma's 123rd traffic fatality. He had been talking with friends in a parked car, stepped into the road, and was hit by a Dallas bound bus driven by J Thomas Mitchell of Tulsa. He died at Henryetta hospital. The report also notes prior day death of Mrs Virginia Lee Law in a two vehicle crash on U S 66 near Edmond, the state’s 122nd traffic fatality.
