Inhuman father abandons infant on straw rack near town
J B R Satterfield and wife, lately near E L Steed’s, left their four months old child to die on a straw rack while away with plans for recreation on Blue. A nearby family heard cries, found the baby, and had the couple arrested at Atoka. The Steed household observed the child alone as the parents worked, and Mrs Satterfield claimed threats from her husband forced silence. The case proceeds to Atoka for full disclosure with public sentiment reportedly exonerating Mrs Satterfield.

City Council Meeting Deals With Taxes and Street Work
