Funeral for George C Ensign Draws Hundreds to Services
Yesterday morning between 300 and 400 mourners gathered to honor the late George Calvin Ensign. Presiding were Presidents L J Merrick and C F Middleton, Bishop Rh McQuarrie, with Elder Joseph Mall offering the opening prayer. The Tabernacle choir performed, and speakers praised the deceased’s character and worth. The procession included about thirty vehicles and many followers to the cemetery where the remains were laid to rest.
