Dismiss Murder Charges Against Four At Eldora Des Moines
Four former Eldora school workers face murder charges dismissed after hearings. Indictments had named Carl Klatt Harold Nelson Harold Martin and Darrell Brown in connection with Ronald Mil's death at Eldora’s Des Moines facility. Grand jury also charged Nelson Klatt and Von Krog with related offenses. Bail set at 5000 for murder charges and 1000 for other counts. Hearing scheduled early this week. Von Krog claimed lack of state support for improvements and questioned transfers of dangerous inmates.

Boots Memorial at New Hampton
Memorial services for Pie. Et- Gen R. Boots son of Mrs Richard Stolz of New Hampton were held Sunday morning at 31 o clock in the Methodist Church. Boots died in a Japanese prison camp May 26, 1942. Eldon was born Oct 19 1919 in Oelwein. He attended local schools until 1934 then Ames Iowa State College. In 1940 he volunteered for foreign service. On Jan 18 1941 he embarked for Treasure Island and landed on Luzon Feb 10 1941 and was at Nichols Field until June. He was sent to Clark Field near Manila. His last letter written February 1942 was received in March 1912 he was declared in action. Attendees included Mr and Mrs Henry F Warren Bovis and others.

89 Year Sumner Resident Buried
89 year old Sumner resident Mrs. Conrad Haag was laid to rest in Zion cemetery after a four day illness. Born Anna Mengelus near Helenville Wisconsin, she moved to Sumner in 1882 with her parents and married Conrad Haag in 1889. Survivors include five children, two sisters and two brothers, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Burial followed a service at Evangelical church with Rev. A L Walker officiating.

Hawkeye Man Involved In Road Crash Near West Union
