One Moose Shot by Sumner Hunters in Ontario Trip
Sumner hunters Pat Snyder Tom Vaughn Ray Siegfried and Pat’s son Mike spent a week in northern Ontario with guide Pat Petequan. Pat took the week’s only moose a two year old cow weighing 750 to 800 pounds field dressed at home 400 pounds meat shared. They faced heavy snow that hindered hunting and limited other game. An Ohio group at the same camp produced two cows and a buck. Moose license cost 125 dollars includes deer and bear licenses. separately the latter two cost 48 dollars. Moose export cost 15 dollars. Weather mirrored home with snow replacing rain and 1¢ inches on ground before departure Friday. Carol hoped to hang a moose in her living room.

Borst, 64 and 250 pounds, started every game since freshman year and earned ITAC Second Team honors in his sophomore and junior years. Coach Jim Killbreath praised him as the best defensive lineman since 1966 and credited him as easy to coach.
