Deak- Ray E. Larson, longtime manager of the Delwein Montgomery Ward store since 1945, departs this weekend for Decatur Illinois to take a merchandise manager role at Alden's Decatur store, a Chicago mail order firm. He began with Montgomery Ward in 1942 at Great Falls Montana, then Minot North Dakota as assistant manager. His family will stay in Oelwein until June awaiting housing. A reception was held at the 190 club with Ward week quota celebrated and a farewell gift presented amid dancing.
