Old-fashioned Sunday in Park at Oelwein
A large crowd enjoyed an old-fashioned day in the park in Oelwein with a Centennial train display across the street. Beard judging drew strong crowds as competitors showcased mustaches and beards in multiple categories. Teams raced in canoe jousting on Lake Oelwein, including Iowa Electric and IAM, with a tie declared when the jousting stick broke. Children participated in three-legged races and wheel barrow races, each awarded prizes.
