Land O Lakes butter brand origins and growth
Fifty years of Land O Lakes quality started with Minnesota butter before cooperatives formed a marketing group. The brands built trust with a strong identity, then expanded into diversified products and nationwide distribution. The co op network grew to about 300,000 farmers across multiple states. An art sculpture features a 12 foot baler twine ball weighing 1,103 pounds.
