Fire sweeps toward Corona new subdivision forcing evacuations
A brush fire in Corona California charred over 3600 acres and drove more than 150 people from their homes near a new subdivision. Winds and heat pushed flames close to tract homes though no houses burned. West Union accident injures three. teen hospitalized in Rochester
Pamela Baker a 17 year old Oelwein girl remained in emergency care Saturday at a Rochester hospital after transfer from Palmer Memorial Hospital West Union. William David Bunn 18 listed in stable condition. Both were in a car that struck a parked bean meal truck on South Vine Street West Union.
