Independence crash injures four after car overturns
Special Local News Desk reports that at about 3 30 pm Saturday near Independence a Chevrolet rolled over after hitting a hemp in the road. George Morgan plus his daughter and granddaughter were injured. Morgan suffered an open hip, the child and Mrs Kime sustained scrapes. The party returned home after treatment.

B 25 Crashes In Arkansas Near Jasper
Five men aboard a B-25 bomber based at Wright Field Dayton were believed killed when the plane crashed in fog on a 2300 foot mountainside near Jasper Arkansas. Police guarded wreckage as Army investigators arrived from Barksdale Field. Two bodies and scattered remains were found in the burning wreckage with caps nearby.
