Five West Union homemakers rise before dawn to jog a mile around North High School track. They share laughter and conversation, then return home to tend breakfast, see husbands off to work, and prepare children for school, embracing health and renewal through daily exercise.

Glenhaven announces the 1974 ladies day season starting Tuesday May 4 with a 12:80 p.m. luncheon. Golf is set for all Tuesdays, with Mrs Don Huochinson as golf chairman and Mrs E R Bowman leading the lunch committee. Reservations are due by noon May 3 by phone. dues are 2 dollars for golfers and greens fees apply to non members invited to play. Cards afternoons are offered for non golfers with a separate calling and committee structure described.

Mother's club annual banquet honors vacation theme
About 250 people attended the Mother's club annual banquet at Grace United Methodist church with a Vacation Lind U S A theme. Decorations featured red white and blue streamers and state vacation spot scenes. Prayers were given by Mrs Don Whitmore, with responses from Mrs Warren Paige and daughters Virginia and Janet. A chicken dinner, a sing along, and a program spotlighting vacation points followed. The Triple 4's performed and various club members participated in themed dances and readings. Awards went to guests traveling farthest, those who had lived here the shortest time, and others for visits to Washington D C and car travel through many states. The event was sponsored by the Mother’s club with banquet chairwoman Mrs Robert Berry. about 4250 attendees were reported.
