Mother Breden Dead After Long Illness in Indiana
Nancy M. Breden, nee Forbes, died Friday night after a paralytic stroke suffered three weeks earlier. She was 75, suffered in Crawford County, Ind. She and her husband John Breden served as United Brethren ministers. Survived by six children and twenty two grandchildren, funeral held Sunday with multiple pastors assisting and interment at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Blaze Damages Oak and Walnut Property in Odon
A Monday night fire at 11 30 damaged a corner house on Oak and Walnut streets in Odon. Sparks from a chimney likely caused the blaze before residents and local schoolboys, aided by Gus Neeremer and John F Daugherty, brought it under control. The roof was torn off with no other damage and no insurance.
