Tragic Double On Eve of Wedding At Eaglesville
Homer F. Casey, 35, shot himself near Eaglesville on the eve of his planned Bloomfield wedding to Anna Stone. A note found in his pocket speaks of unbearable pain and his wish to die. Casey, long a resident of Eaglesville, left for Bloomfield then Indianapolis to buy a ring, returned, and died by a self inflicted gunshot. The event shocked Greene and Daviess counties. Miss Stone and her family mourn the loss amid community sympathy.

Local Merchant Dies. Rites Set in Eaglesville
The deceased, who taught rudiments of education in country schools, ran a merchants business in Eaglesville after his father’s death eight years ago and recently became a traveling salesman for M. Borne and Co. He leaves a large family including Alfred R. B. Casey of Hransville and several Andrews. funeral at Eaglesville at 10:30 this morning with burial in Eaglesville cemetery.
