Annie Haley of Middletonport was found on Front Street near death and died before a doctor arrived. She and her husband had separated and her parents had disinherited her. She had previously attempted suicide by morphine four times. Deceased’s parents are well known and respectable.
Seattle Aug 2 The coroner s jury investigating the Franklin coal mine disaster that killed 37 men found the fire started by unknown parties who willfully and maliciously sought to injure workers and Oregon Improvement Co property. It is believed the arsonist perished with those in the mine and no suspect is named.
In Marken Ohio August 23 a post mortem on Timothy Sharrock was held by Pr J L Baker removing the stomach which lay in a glass jar in the doctor’s office. The stomach was later found under a hog pen after a lengthy search, casting doubt on the circumstances of the death.
