Michael Church announces the betrothal of Willan Abedbof to repair the bride’s name and lists friends and witnesses attending the ceremony at Swarty’s residence. The notice names John Swarty and references a forthcoming wedding with tenants and local attendees.
The Poindexter and Wolsette property has been leased by the board for a library location. An open time room will be arranged and more space provided for patrons. New books have been added, mainly for juveniles with some late adult titles. The library remains a key town institution and seeks support.
The Grand Hotel was sold this week to Jonathan Tare of Livonis Indiana. Ryce the proprietor secured a stock at Orleans and took charge of the store there. Tare also bought the Royal Theatre connected to the Grand. Risley will continue to operate both. The deal was arranged through W. L. Fry of Orleans and Reason Bennett of this city.
A M Beck shows a collection of very large rare persimmons sent from Florida by AL Qiefendorf. The fruit reportedly exceeds six inches in length and is described as solid and unusual, with frost resistance noted.
The Golon Drug Co. reports its new warehouse connected to their store is near completion with basement and concrete work finished and the east wall done. Framework likely to be completed this week.

Miss Abel Ross Dear aged about nineteen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Ross of Limbo, formerly of this city, died after an operation for exophthalmic goitre Tuesday morning. She was well known here with many friends who mourn her loss.
George Dow displays and sells large late Peach Bow potatoes at Poindexter and Wilson in June. The white tinted red potatoes weigh around a half pound each and are described as clear and substantial.
