A U S D A report from Illinois shows an all reactor Holstein Jersey herd of 14 cows two calves and two bulls with severe tuberculosis lesions. The six carcasses condemned and destroyed highlight the danger to swine from tuberculous cattle and a chronic cougher milk cow died a week after hog shipments. Farmers urged to test herds promptly and remove infection sources to stop spread.
