Supreme Court strikes down three mile gravel road law
The court held the law unconstitutional as a special and local act and invalidated tax funded road building tied to townships with 30 000 plus inhabitants. In Daviess county many road petitions will be dropped as bonds cannot be sold and contractors face about 41800 in unpaid work. The ruling leavessection 81 of the law intact.
