Death of Jeo Teapenhager in hospital

Jeo Teapenhager died in a hospital on Vicarsday morning after brain trouble. He was about sixty years old and had lived in the area many years. Services were held at the Poppenhager home with a large turnout of friends and floral tributes reflecting the community's esteem.

Death of Jesse Herron at eighty eight in Indiana

Jesse Herron died at home in Marison township on a Friday after a long illness. He was born in 1822 in Reataoxse Marcel Lith and moved to Indiana as a child, later living in Lawrence and Thaviess counties. He married Mary Anne Shield in 1845, had four children, and endured two wives with the latter dying in 1960. He joined Pleasant Hill church, became a charter Baptist member at Friendship, and was buried in Pleasant Hill cemetery after a funeral led by A W Arford.

Walsh Road Sold and Railway Assets Transferred

The Southern Indiana Railway, part of the Walsh holdings, was sold last Thursday to the Chicago Clearinghouse Association and the First Trust and Savings Company of New York for 81 million 250 thousand dollars. The Chicago Southern and related Walsh holdings at Quaker Hill Illinois will form the northern division of the Chicago and Southern Railway. Receiver Myron J. Carpenter will become president of the new board of directors.
