Wednesday evening Dr. C. D. Fulkerson of Bella Union married Miss Bertha Donaldson in Eaglesville. The ceremony drew many friends in attendance. Dr. Fulkerson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isene Falkerson of Van Buren township, now practices medicine at Bella Union. The Journal wishes the couple happiness.
The Bloomer Base Ball team of Chicago, seven girls and two men, played seven innings at Odon Thursday afternoon. Scoring was more luck than skill as Odon won 20 to 5 with uneven innings. The two local towns plan an Odon Bedford game on July 4.
The jury after fourteen hours deliberation could not reach a verdict in the Harley Lamb murder case from April 4 in Odont, with six jurors for conviction and six for acquittal. Witnesses included Walter Correll’s parents, Overton, and Lamb’s associates, as prosecutors and defense counsel argued over knife use and intent. The trial adjourned with plans to proceed at the next court term.
