LOCALS REPORT W C Myers of Ottawa Illinois visited relatives this week. Miss Bert Howe and Mr Emer son Cline of Linton were guests of Miss Helen Gantz Sunday. Mr and Mrs D Gantz and others visited Newberry Sunday. Mrs Ferdinand Koster and son Chas returned to Indianapolis after visiting Herbert Whiteside and family. Miss Mary Crooke visited Bedford to see Mr and Mrs E L Baker. Williams Bros painted Marshall Cooper's residence with Devoe paint bought from Vivian Spurgeon Allegra Bowman Quinton Osborn and Paul Dyal spent Sunday at Salt Petre cave. Frost damaged many areas though the region fared better than others with dry weather limiting corn and garden harm. some fields will need replanting for later crops.

Annual Daviess County Reunion in Indianapolis

The thirteenth annual Daviess County gathering will be at Brookside Park in Indianapolis on Sunday June 30. Speakers include Eph Inman and E. E. Hastings with Madison Walsh of the International Revenue Department. Raymond O’dell leads music. attendees should bring lunch and spend the day reconnecting. Mrs. Emma McCord and C. W. Abraham lead the organizing committee.

Mrs Susan Resler Dies in Indiana Community

Mrs Susan Shanower Resler a longtime resident died at her home six miles west of the city last Saturday death caused by general debility She was born November 19 1849 and was 68. She married Isaac Resler in 1865 and they had 14 children seven of whom survived with their spouses including three daughters Cora Fielder Ida Brayan and five sons Jacob Frank Thomas Isaac and Jesse. A charter member of the local church she lived a Christian life and was survived by three sisters one brother 35 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren Funeral services were held at Seaview on Sunday with Rev Fouts of Eaglesville in charge Burial was at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Rain Helps Corn Growth In Ragleville Area

In Raglesville rain Monday aided local corn, while residents Lola Westfall and brother William returned to Indianapolis after visiting their sister Mrs. Sam Riggins. Wadsworths, Evans, Boghner, Ward and other relatives visited. several locals injured in a recent accident are improving. At a stockholders meeting, Chas Sims was elected president and HH Sims secretary-treasurer. Misses Mary Myers Hazel Riggins to run the exchange for six months starting July 1.
