The Mitchell District Sunday School Association of the Indiana conference met at the U B church in Eaglesville May 26 1891 at 730 pm with Rev A A Armen presiding. The session elected officers and organized a permanent committee and over two days discussed 25 topics on Sunday School work concluding May 28 with a Love Feast and adjournment to Montgomery in late May 1892.
The storm hit Indiana Ohio Kentucky and Illinois with rain hail and strong winds causing extensive damage. Buildings roofs crops and fences were torn down in Laporte Seymour and other towns. A heavy Thursday evening storm produced two inches of rain in 30 minutes and damaged the E and R eating house near the depot and a mill roof.
