The marriage occurred at the bride’s home on the Porteryville road two miles south of Washington at 8 PM Sunday before a large crowd. Professor Hamlet Allen performed the ceremony. A reception and dinner followed. The couple will live with the groom’s brother James Billings for a while before deciding their future home in the city or Odon.

Nancy Brock Garten born May 14 182u in Lawrence County Indiana died July 6 1966 aged 86 years 1 month 24 days She married Henry Taylor in August 1833 who died November 1865 They had five children William H Samuel A James G Sarah E Wallick and Mary J Bechtel Surviving are four children 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren Two half siblings and many relatives She joined the M E church in youth and died peacefully uttering God bless my children.
