Mrs. Rosanna Hayes, a prominent local resident, marked her 78th birthday with a countywide gathering. Guests from all nearby communities joined in a large dinner and warm tributes to the honored woman.
A longstanding resident, who came from Ohio in 1865, has spent 53 years in this country and now lives in the city. She remains hale and hearty, enjoys housework, and embodies optimism and goodwill. Friends wish her many more enjoyable anniversaries.
The Odon Ministerial Association met at the Christian church on Tuesday January 28 to discuss Father and Son week. A representative committee was appointed to plan the event and will meet January 31 at 7:00 PM at the Odon Realty Co office.
In Mt Nebo the revival at Simpson chapel ends with 35 conversions. Tilman Barker Wilbert Barker and family visited John Barker’s household as flu illness spreads. A quarterly meeting is set for Thursday with 10 30 morning and an evening service. Odon Realty Co advertises farm loan offers at 5 years with prepay privilege.
