Seventeen year old Bern Tyndall reportedly escaped pursuit in Lhasa and fled toward Washine after a burglary at a furniture store. Police recovered a knife and tools, with only some items missing as investigators pursue leads in the county.
A petition filed with the public service commission seeks to force Indiana Bell to provide free mutual service over its lines in Daviess County for Odon Madison Township Telephone subscribers. It also requests equitable charges for long distance calls and cites gaps in service for towns including Odon Eaglesville Burns City and Scotland.

Dr John Pch meier formerly of Martin county Indiana lost his sensational suit against Willis B McGinnis a married man for heart balm. Jury verdict read Monday morning found for the defendant after nearly twelve hours of deliberation.

Junior Arnold, adopted son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard C. Arnold of Indianapolis, died Saturday January 22 1921 aged 1 year 2 months 12 days. Born Hobart Sears and Blossom Sears on November 10 1919 the child came under the Arnolds care February 28 1920 and was adopted September 1920. Funeral services were held at the residence Monday January 24 at 2 PM with Rev H A Turney officiating and burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
