Linton Indiana six miles north of the city. William Palmer Jackson son of Greene County Sheriff Weeden Jackson, about twenty five, shot and killed himself at Midland Thursday afternoon. He reportedly faced business troubles and had been an employee of the Monou railway company.
Farmers praise excellent wheat condition with good moisture and mild weather. The crop is well started and in strong shape to endure winter, despite no snow this year. Acreage is up from last year and expectations point to higher quantity, possibly surpassing last year’s bumper quality.
Mrs. E E Forsythe leaves Frankly to care for her ailing mother. Fisher Watlington Herald reports the family in concern as the elder Forsythe battles a serious illness.
