James B Fellers Dies at 21 After Illness

James B. Fellers son of John and Harriet Fellers born April 27 1884 died December 14 1906 aged 21 years 8 months married Mamie Poorman October 4 1903. He joined the Christian church in December 1903 and lived a devout life. He leaves a wife two children his parents and seven brothers. Funeral at the Christian church conducted by C H Buchanan burial Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Odon Library Association Organized with Officers Named

The Odon Library Association organized with Dean Inman as president and Prof. A J Mayfield as secretary treasurer. A rules committee led by C A Breden and a Library Committee including the president and Mrs W H Hueston selected to purchase a bookcase and acquire books. The library will be housed in D C Williams jewelry store for a short time awaiting use.

John T. Williams of Plainville files for divorce in St. Louis circuit court from Mary M. Williams alleging desertion Since their marriage in October 1872 he left the farm for railroad work in 1891 and says his wife refused to join him He visited Indiana in 1905 and says she barred him from speaking ate him and denied food during illness They have eight children including a fourteen year old minor.

Danner Opens Elnora Store With New Line of Goods

W. J. Danner rents the new brick building on North Odon Street at Elnora and plans to install a full line of goods by March 1. Ed Love will manage the Elnora store, expected to draw a liberal patronage as in Odon.

He pledges conservative management, avoidance of new profitable-for-now business, and urges continued premium payments while highlighting rapid death claim settlements averaging 24 hours and daily payouts exceeding $118 000 through the agitation era.
