Residence Fire at Mrs Borders Home on Bunkum

A Wednesday night blaze consumed the home of Mrs Borders on Mrs Rose Ann Winklepleck’s farm near Bunkum. The structure burned completely except for three feather beds. Thirty two dollars in cash also burned with no insurance.

Myers and Vickers wed at Ragiesville parsonage

Wild West Outburst By Newberry Druggist George Baker

George Baker a Newberry druggist drank heavily and fired at townspeople Saturday in a wild west episode. He shot at saloon keeper Pittman wounding him, then drove customers from a barber shop, demanded ammunition from Ed Scott and fired again. Baker was wounded in the arm and treated by doctors and X rays in Bloomfield Linton and Washington.
