Mrs. Geo Hackler and daughter returned from Yeddo Indiana. Auditors and area residents attended speeches and local meetings. Miss Fearl Brown received a piano from grandfather George Brown Paragon. Several residents visited relatives or guests over the weekend and townsfolk planned attendance at a men only sermon by Rev John Ragle.
Odon area notes report visits by Col Sears from Elnora and Mr. Smoot from Washington, trips by Rev Scott and Mrs. Turney, and numerous social gatherings. Residents like Harman, Danner, Slaven, Isenogle, and Ledg erwood appear with church, school, and farm activities.
Lightning struck the Emery Wade residence in Van Buren township Tuesday night. The family sustained no injuries, but the house suffered some damage.

The annual inter class debate will take place tonight in the assembly room. A program starts at eight o clock. The topic asks if greater restrictions should be placed on foreign immigration to the United States. Proceeds from admission 10 and 15 cents benefit the library and school fund.

Farlen reports no saloons since the county prohibition. John Hubbard of Loogootee visited Ed Hubbard's this week. Locals attended the Farmers' Institute at Burns City Saturday. Earl Bechtel and Henry Wallick attended the corn school at Worthington last week.
