A crowd enjoyed string music at George Myers home with performers from Fairview. Lola Myers is reported improving. John Rodgers of Washington visited Mrs. Nancy Myers Sunday. Freidly Poindexter and Joe Browning made local business trips. Elbert Ellis of Elnora and Chas Osman from the county farm were in town. Residents attended the John G. Toom sale near Burns City. Lias McGuire and Winfield Zigler were noted locals. Zigler earned 325 dollars for two years old miles. Plainville and Monroe City residents were seen about. Mattie Fidder appears on the sign list. Elizabeth Sims moved east. George Groe returned from Terre Haute. Blanche Groe visited Mrs. Bechtel near Shiloh. Grace Scott and daughter Margie were mentioned.

Funeral for four months old child held at private home

The funeral services for the four months old child of Wikanehuutchiss occurred at the family home one mile south of town on Tuesday conducted by Rev. C. H. Buchanan. Burial followed at Walnut Hill cemetery.

Safe blown at Sandborn post office

Robbers blew open the Sandborn post office safe with nitroglycerin on Monday night. Fragments of the safe flew through walls and into the street. Amount stolen unknown. Bloodhounds have been set on the trail.

Weeping and suffering as parched throats fill Olor streets after the drastic prohibition law takes effect. Four hidden blind tigers had operated here, now likely closed. Elnora also goes dry.
