The American Flag House and Betty Ross Memorial Association bought the historic Arch Street dwelling where the first American flag was made. New York will probate Rathcone estate funds to found Rathcone memorial home for aged and infirm persons at Evansville Ind totaling 70090 in property and money.

The Con test, another Saunders & Co. vessel, sunk at Triangle reef near Vera Cruz. its crew are safe and being cared for by the U S consul.
In Wheeling on February 15 the home of dairyman John D Marsh welcomed a third pair of twins, two boys and two girls are healthy and thriving alongside their siblings. In Boston on February 15 Meyer Ratsman was fined $20 in municipal court for contemptuous use of the United States flag by using an old flag as a bag in his rag collection business.

Three thousand western Cayuse horses from inter-mountain ranges are bought by British army agents and gathered in Salt Lake City and Grand Junction corrals for shipment to South Africa for use in the British forces.
Chas E Borchgrevink arrived in New York on the steamship Etruria after an Antarctic expedition. He said his 1895 party reached 78 50 south latitude about 860 miles from the South Pole, the farthest southern point any man has reached.

Harold M. Cole of the American Smelting and Refining Co. shot his wife in Helena Montana on Sunday night and then killed himself. The tragedy followed a quarrel sparked by the discovery of letters believed to be his wife’s. Mrs. Cole was described as young and handsome.

Muncie Indiana February 17. The Blain Station post office the associated grocery store and a residence owned by postmaster Arthur Craig were destroyed by fire Sunday night. Arthur Craig and his wife were away and believe the blaze followed a robbery. About 290 in cash and stamps were in the store and all mail matter burned. Nothing was saved.
In Vincennes Indiana on February 15 a report notes 29 Johnson deer in Forest Park at St Louis. three have been corralled and one fawn broke its leg and was killed. Sixty deer remain running wild in the enclosed 600 acre wooded park.
In Lafayette Indiana on February 13 Miss Catherine Norris 21 daughter of Benjamin Norris died Sunday morning after accidentally taking a dose of strychnine for salts.
Ed O'Meara a former baseball player died from rheumatism and brain trouble in Fort Wayne Indiana aged after starting his career in 1893 in Chattanooga He was a Chicago native and a pioneer in early major league circles.
Philip Kelly of Indianapolis sues the Indianapolis Street Railway Co. for 310,000 damages claiming loss of his wife's companionship due to a severe accident. The case is moved on change of venue to Anderson, Indiana, as of February 15.
