Union announces complete rural route service to be established in Sullivan county. Rural Route Inspector Chamberlain is sent to Sullivan at the instance of a Congressman.
The plan calls for 25 to 30 routes to provide full rural service in the county. Sullivan would have 10 or 11 routes, Farmersburg four, Sherburn four, with one route each from Dungger and Paxton. Complete service means every house lies within a mile of a route and Linton area already has a six mile coverage.
The Odon Rescdty Co plans to organize a party of twenty or more farmers to settle in Arkansas. They will sell land in parcels of any size, offer homes of three to five rooms ready to move into, and charge a down payment with a mortgage option. The land is advertised at two hundred dollars per acre in a neighborhood near Esdianne people, with prospects of moving soon to form a settlement.
