Sunday School Class Enjoys Regular Meeting

The Laval Lae School class of the Christian church held its regular gathering last Wednesday evening. Officers were elected and the month’s business discussed. A large Christmas tree with stockings of fruit and nuts amused attendees. The Loyal Ladies Class is one of the largest in the Sunday school.

Robbers Loot Two Town Stores with Large Hauls

Robbers hit the John Charley store in Qok town taking over $2500 in merchandise including clothing and trousers. A year earlier similar thefts occurred with partial recoveries after suspects were caught in Turre Haute. No clues linked Monday night or Sunday night robberies.

Big Fox Drive charity drive details and lines defined

A charity drive on Friday December 28 1923 begins at 8 30 A M with a route along East line Bramble and Loogoo tee Road to Bramble Taylor school house to Cannelburg cross roads to Bramble and Loogootee road and back. No guns dogs or clubs to be thrown. Proceeds go for charitable purposes.
