Florida trip diary from Odon Journal to Sanford 1909

A cross country letter describes travel from Odon Indiana to Evansville and Florida, with vivid notes on the St John River trip from Jacksonville to Sanford, floods of hyacinths, moss covered cypress, and river navigation. It reports scenery, river crookedness, wildlife, and a Lake Monroe landing at Sanford, plus celery crop costs and potential yields near a seven thousand acre area. The writer mentions Jeff Davis memorabilia and local landmarks, ending with a Georgia-like appraisal of land values near Sanford.
