South Bend Indiana November 28 Hon Clem Studebaker died at 11 55 o clock Wednesday Funeral services were held Saturday The burial was private Born Adams County Pennsylvania March 12 1891 He moved to Ashland County Ohio at age four He settled in South Bend in 1850 and started a blacksmith shop He served as United States commissioner to the Paris exposition and was president of the Indiana board of managers at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago He represented the Pan American congress at Washington during President Harrison s term He became wealthy as a farm wagon manufacturer.
