William Wilkins senior member of the bristle and hair factory William Wilkins & Sons died Sunday night at his Baltimore home aged 57. The firm maintains a branch in Chicago.
Wesley Reynolds, watchman at the Westville State Bank, was shot and killed Saturday while defending the bank safe from burglars. Citizens pursued the desperadoes after a gun battle, with a posse in pursuit and the attackers still at large. Reynolds died protecting the bank with no time for the safe to be blown. It is believed he may have wounded one burglar.
In Marion Indiana Mrs Enoch Pursley born Mary Thompson has married only two men. She first wed Enoch Pursley, divorced, then married John Lynn. After further quarrels both marriages ended in divorce and she remarried Pursley. After another divorce she married Lynn again, then Pursley for a third time in ten years.

In Elkhart Indiana on Sunday Arthur and Charles Lynett aged four and six died from burns suffered when the older boy tried to start a fire with kerosene causing an explosion. Their parents James Lynett a Lake Shore fireman slept late and the siblings perished about an hour after the incident.
Indianapolis reports Mrs George wife of a stone mason scaled a construction site at Merchants Heat and Light Co New Jersey and Pearl streets to place an American flag atop a 165 foot smokestack, refusing to take a dare.
A mysterious figure called the woman in black has evaded local police in Noblesville Indiana. Described as of medium height and slow moving she wears a black dress and veil and is sighted in various parts of the city almost every night.
Marion Indiana December 1 J L McColloch a major operator in the Indiana field sold 50 000 barrels of oil to Standard Oil at 98 cents per barrel. The oil had been withheld five months from the market and the price rose 11 cents as a result. It was the largest oil sale in Indiana field history.

In Winimac Indiana on December 1 John Carroll Frank Brooker and David Shellhart have had hands amputated in shredder accidents. The county reports twenty similar cases in the past year.
Geo Mogon, a well driver from Indianapolis, was arrested in police court for grave robbery. He denied the charge at first but confessed after Rufus Cantrell positively identified him.
In Alexandria Indiana a natural gas explosion tore through a bakery injuring proprietor Rudolph Schatz and assistant Fred Emerton. Real estate dealer Aaron MecMutchan of Dubois County died later in Evansville hospital at age 66.
