Special to the Journal Mrs Porter mother of Mrs RP Smiley near Center fell Monday Aug "st" at the Smiley home and broke a limb. She is old and recovery will take time. Her home is Bedford and she had recently come to help while Mr and Mrs Smiley visited Kansas. They were to travel Tuesday but the accident delayed them.
M O U Pate was awarded damages of 814.85 against the local caulsp off UM W A of Rag lege after expulsion on June 16 for an alleged infraction. He appealed to the district president Well O Connor of Terre Haute who investigated charges and ordered reinstatement. Pate filed a damages suit which was denied and appealed to superior officers.
