Tragedy in Washington: Eightyearold Gladys Holl Killed by Freight
A fatal accident occurred Monday morning in Washington as eight year old Gladys Holl was struck by an EE and L freight while crossing the E and I yards. The child had been sent on an errand and returned toward home when warned by a brakeman before attempting to cross. As she reached the first rail the cars began moving and the wheels crushed her, causing near instant death.
