Indiana democracy in trouble amid factional fighting
Special correspondence from Indiana notes that Taggart and Crawford Fairbanks lead a struggle to dominate the Democratic party in Indiana. The piece says the party is in a glass house, blaming reform opposition on party bosses, and predicts Republicans will drive reform next year. It quotes Jim Keach and Flavius Van Vorhis criticizing Bryan and praising Roosevelt, with Kern warning no Republican can beat Bryan in Indiana. The Hearst faction enjoys the discord as scalps loom.
