Mrs Alfred Long hosted visitors including Mrs William Hackler and Mrs John McClellan with Pearl, while Mr and Mrs Tom Beasley entertained about fifty young guests at dinner. Other welcomes came from Ralph Wallingford, Geo Browning, Miss Grace Callahan, and Lucile Ice as Rev T J Alford preached Saturday night and Sunday. Everyone was invited.
Louis Grey of Odon spent Saturday evening and Sunday at John Mumaw’s. A surprise party honored Mrs Mumaw’s forty fifth birthday at John A Mumaw’s with ice cream and cake. A large group from Baile and local friends attended Christian Endeavor Sunday night.

The minister will preach at Cord church Sunday at 2 30. The county Sunday School convention met at Plainville Monday and was pronounced a success. The state Christian church convention will be held at Marion May 10 14.
Sunday service schedule includes Sunday school at 9 30 and preaching at 10 50. Junior Sunday at 2 00. Evening service covers the high school baccalaureate led by Rev Them of the M E church.
The Institute of church methods will be held at the United Brethren church next Wednesday and Thursday promising great interest. Rev. A. B. Condo of Medora will preach Wednesday evening. Condo is regarded as a strong preacher and locals are assured a rare treat if they hear him. The full program is printed in this paper.
Birth announced for a son to Mr and Mrs Robert Boyd Wednesday morning. James Wilkey visited Emmett Colglazier and wife. Steve Mallette traveled to Washington. John Arney Jr and family and William Arney and family visited John Arney Sr and wife. Miss Ora Wade stayed with sister Mrs Marion Chandler of Shiloh. Delmer Franklin and wife from Hyatt Station visited Steve Mallette and family. Miss Lula Wade visited Miss Alpha Brock. Henry Poindexter visited Aaron Hattery and family. Wesley Brown and wife visited Lee Resler and wife.
Mrs. John Crosby and Mrs. Gec Hackler attended Odon on Thursday. John Eads and family visited relatives in Washington this week. Roy McMillion and family visited W. O. Jones and family Sunday night. An accident near Elnora last Wednesday saw John Eads thrown from a buggy when their horse ran wild, injuring him. Clyde Shaver visited Wm. Thias and family on Sunday. W. H. Shaver attended business in Bicknell Saturday. Arthur Ritter and family from near Shiloh visited Jim Ritter. Charley Trotter hosted a Saturday night party with many in attendance.
Jonas M Winklepleck and Water T Dearmin filed in Daviess Circuit Court to vacate a public alley in Clarksburg. The lot block description covers lots 25 through 30 and the petition will be heard at the Washington courthouse on May 12 1915.
